The Crouse-Hinds APJ6375 is an Arktite industrial plug designed for demanding electrical applications and adverse environments. The Arktite plug and receptacle system is designed to prevent mismating by accepting only plugs and receptacles with the same amperage rating, style, and number of poles, providing positive polarization.

Plugs through 100A may be disconnected under load, while 150–400A units are intended for service-disconnect use only. The system incorporates extra-wide electrical spacing and specially selected insulating materials for high dielectric strength, mechanical and impact resistance, low moisture absorption, and high arc-tracking resistance.

When feeding a normally de-energized receptacle from an energized plug, the reversible interior design allows this to be accomplished without exposing energized contacts.
