The GE SAST1 is a field-installable shunt trip accessory designed for compatible GE Spectra RMS circuit breakers. It provides remote tripping of the circuit breaker when used with a momentary close contact. The shunt trip is suitable for use with Spectra RMS circuit breakers from the SE150 through SK1200, including instantaneous trip Mag-Break motor circuit protectors and molded case switches. These devices are also suitable for use with ground fault sensing and relaying equipment.

Compatibility:

Designed for use with compatible GE Spectra RMS circuit breakers from the SE150 through SK1200, including SE150, SF250, SG600, and SK1200 frame series. The SAST1 is a UL-listed, field-installable internal accessory that does not require cover removal for installation. It can be used with ground fault sensing and relaying equipment.

For applications using a maintained or latching relay contact, delayed shunt tripping may occur. Where delayed tripping is unacceptable, the appropriate bell alarm or auxiliary switch arrangement should be used according to the applicable breaker frame and manufacturer requirements.
