The Square D BGL36040 is a PowerPacT B-Frame molded case circuit breaker designed for commercial, industrial, and OEM electrical distribution systems. Manufactured by Schneider Electric under the Square D brand, this 3-pole, 40A breaker provides dependable thermal-magnetic protection while maintaining a compact footprint suitable for control panels, switchboards, and distribution equipment.

Featuring a feed-thru unit-mount design, the BGL36040 offers flexible installation through either traditional back-pan mounting or integrated DIN rail mounting. The breaker is equipped with patented EverLink lugs on both line and load terminals, helping compensate for conductor creep and reducing the need for retightening over time.

PowerPacT B-Frame breakers utilize dual-break rotating contacts that limit peak fault current during short-circuit conditions, enhancing system protection. An integral push-to-trip button allows for convenient manual testing and maintenance. With a 35kA interrupting rating at 480VAC and an 18kA rating at 600Y/347VAC, the BGL36040 is engineered to provide reliable protection in demanding electrical environments.
